Turn Your Kitchen Into the Great Office

During the pandemic times, some of us were wondering how to make an office at home. With limited outdoor activities, we were forced to implement major changes in our lives. But how? Shall we introduce a linguistic novelty? Or perhaps come up with a custom-made word for these spaces? Anyway, some of us have started to turn kitchens into offices. 😊

Let's get to the point- in this article you may find nine tips on using the kitchen as a great office space. And as a bonus, you might get a few more ideas. Let's get started:

1. Add a flying shelf

If you don't have as much space as your soul wants, the most practical thing is to attach a narrow shelf to the wall and place two chairs under it. So, while you're having breakfast, you can review the report waiting in line to be approved, view the email, or check your schedule.

2. Integration

If you plan to have a workspace in your kitchen, you can integrate it into the project. The finishing will be the same as the rest of the furniture.

3. One corner is enough

For example, the angle between the stove, or as is the case in the photo below, between the built-in oven and the window, is enough to organize a charming learning area. Ideal for children to do their homework while parents prepare dinner. A shelf that serves as a desk hides the radiator and uses the maximum potential of this mini space.

4. Order, work and peace

Any workspace needs good organization and use of space. To establish harmony and peace, you may obtain one piece of furniture to store folders and paper. We advise that it be an indoor closet rather than an open shelf, as the closet door will protect the working material from the water vapour and grease that accumulates in the kitchen.

5. Mix roles

What could be a better accessory in the kitchen than wine shelves? But in this case, we suggest that you use them to organize paper, mail and office supplies.

6. Keep it organized and transparent

Keep pencils, rubber bands and paper clips in transparent jars. You'll have them handy and you'll avoid getting lost somewhere.

7. Flower vases

If you don't want to store office supplies in jars, select some modern vases, made of materials that don't break easily. Make sure they're coloured and cheer up your "office corner" in the kitchen.

8. You no longer have an excuse

You can make a "built-in workpiece" for your laptop. Essentially, it consists of a laptop stand, storage space and a modem room and plug.

9. Implement the old trick

Finally, we remind you that you can always adapt the kitchen table to learning and work needs. This is how it was done at a time when we were young. So we can teach our little ones how to use the kitchen table to work.

We hope that these nine ideas help in a way that guides you on how to transform your workspace in the kitchen. Because the time of work from home (or at least flexible) has just begun. This trend will continue, so it would be wise to start adapting as soon as possible, with as little investment as possible!
